WATSA 2023 Workshop by Michael Seto, PhD
Title: Risk Assessment with Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM) Cases
Description: In this workshop, I will describe the background and research leading to the development and validation of the Child Pornoraphy Offender Risk Tool (CPORT), the first offense-specific risk tool validated for this population. I also describe the development and validation of the Correlates of Admission of Sexual Interest in Children (CASIC) scale, a companion scale designed to complement the CPORT in the assessment of individuals who have committed child sexual exploitation material offenses. Common scoring and use questions will be discussed.
